Photographs consist primarily of portraits of employees, ca. 1920s-1980s. Also, photographs of boards of directors, 1980s; Francis Wayland Ayer; company chairmen Wilfred Fry and Harry Batten, ca. 1930s, including some of Ayer and Fry as children, and other company notables; and groups of employees engaged in client-related activities, in the office, in employee clubs such as the Glee Club and the Twenty-Five Year Service Club, at company anniversaries, and other events and activities. Some photographs are in the form of slides and negatives including some glass plate negatives. Of note is a series of seven postcards, ca. 1910s, showing Meridale Farms, and interiors and exteriors of Meredith Inn in Meredith, New York. The Inn and the farm were owned by Francis Wayland Ayer and were used as a summer retreat for employees.
